The purpose of this study is to study the main directions and forms of the ideology of Galician nationalism in the mid-1930s. Methodologically, the article is based on the principles of interdisciplinary historiography of nationalism, which allows us to analyze Galician nationalism as a social, intellectual, political or cultural movement. The author analyzes the problems of the history of the Galician nationalist movement, believing that the activity of nationalists significantly influenced the subsequent stages in the history of Galicia as a region in the context of the radicalization of nationalism. The novelty of the study lies in the analysis the intellectual history and history of ideas in Galicia. The article analyzes 1) the main problems of the history of nationalism in the 1930s, 2) the role of intellectuals in the development and transformation of the ideology of Galician nationalism, 3) the features of the political program proposed by activists of the nationalist movement in Galicia, 4) the role of ideological concepts and constructs proposed by nationalist intellectuals in the development of Galician ethnicity, including language and culture, 5) the place of ideological quests of nationalists of the 1930s in the general logic of the history of the Galician nationalist movement. The results of the study suggest that the ideological searches of nationalists of the 1930s. became an important stage in the intellectual history of nationalism in Galicia, predetermining the features of its development in the following years, when in Spain the political regime of Francoism marginalized regional nationalisms, including Galician. Keywords:
