Modern linguistics is characterized by its interest to the problems of communication where deixis is an indicator of the main components of a typical speech situation — participants (personal deixis), place (spatial deixis) and time (temporal deixis) ensure the simultaneous perception of communicators’ speech interaction. The problem of temporal deixis as a method of nomination in different languages has always been the subject of discussion in linguistic research. However, despite numerous studies dedicated to the functioning of temporal deictic actualizes in different languages, in modern linguistics there are no works devoted to the holistic description of this category in the lexical system of the Belarusian language. This article analyzes the ways of expressing temporal deixis in the semantics of Belarusian lexemes selected by continuous sampling from the explanatory dictionary of the Belarusian language. By means of definitional analysis the author reveals the presence of deictic temporal component in the semantics of lexemes of different grammatical classes — adverbs, adjectives, verbs and nouns, which are mainly characterized by the mixed type of nomination with interaction of the nominative and deictic components as well as the objective orientation of their semantics, that reflects explicitly expressed temporal links between events and actions of the surrounding reality.
