The problem of linguistic interference has been thoroughly studied by linguists and specialists in foreign language teaching. However, to master a foreign language successfully, it is necessary to overcome not only linguistic, but intercultural interference as well. Manifestations of linguistic interference in speech are often explicit and can be corrected, whereas breaking the cultural norms is less obvious and does not attract special attention. The article validates the necessity to study the phenomenon of intercultural interference in the course of foreign language acquisition. It provides the description of a learning model of overcoming the intercultural interference for the students of economics in the course of the discipline “Foreign Language”. The learning model is a complex of structural elements, including 4 units: objectives, theoretical background, technologies, evaluation and results. The structural elements of the model, criteria and indicators, levels of successful training of intercultural interference overcoming are examined in the article.
