The article deals with the problems of formation of practice-oriented research competence of teachers within the educational dimension of University. This is due to active processes of restructuring and modernization within the modern system of higher pedagogical education: deformation of students’ needs in the application of research methodology in educational activity, low demand for applying research methodology in practical pedagogical activity, underdevelopment of the system to analyze the needs of potential recipients of research services. The article represents characteristics of a variant of research culture dimension which can effectively complement the academic methodological component of University education and practice-oriented methodological basis of teaching.Keywords:
