Elena N. Ertner, Dr. Sci. (Philol.), Professor, Department of Russian and Foreign Literature, University of Tyumen; e.n.ertner@utmn.ru; ORCID: 0000-0003-1523-6561Abstract:
The article considers the genre poetics of the novel «In remote places», written by N. A. Lukhmanova (1895). Addressing the problems of genre dynamics, typical for the Russian novel of the end of the 19th — early 20th centuries, the author observes the interaction between the novel and essay genres, the process that contributed to the emergence of the special modification of the novelistic form. It is important to note that the problem of genre interaction is treated in the frames of regional prose study: the novel under consideration «In remote places» belongs to the so-called «Tyumen text» of Russian culture. The study of the main characteristics of plot organization, the ways of artistic representation, the system of characters, narrative structure and spatial-temporal relations allows to identify the essay and novel principles of the integrative text poetics.References:
