Abstract:

This article presents the study of controversial issues of Ermak’s campaign in terms of archeology. The results of field studies at Karachinsky island, including the excavation of first Russian explorers’ dugout, and the information on the discovery of the battlefield of Ermak’s troop and Tatar army by scattered buckshot of gun tools of the XVI-th century, are revealed in the article.
