Abstract:

The article is devoted to the burning but not thoroughly studied issue – settling and development of the eastern part of the Kurgan okrug, which is now referred to the Lebyazhyevskiy district of Kurgan region. Colonization peculiarities are analyzed on the basis of the archives, including the published sources. It is stated that the process of settling and development consisted of 2 inter connected trends: internal and external migration of the old timers in the region. Russian state peasants made a decisive contribution to settling and development of the territory.
