Abstract:

The article summarizes field studies of witch-doctor system of KomiIzhem people, who live along the lower Ob. It describes peculiarities of their witch-doctor knowledge and how it transforms, functions and adopts to modern urbanized society with a clear trend towards ethnicity erasing.
