Abstract:

The relations of the Austrian and German prisoners of war on the territory of the Kazan province with women and local population are analyzed in the article. Special attention was paid to the characteristics of mutual relations, and political perception of the given relations (a public discourse). The research was based on sources of personal origin (letters and memoirs), materials of periodicals, and archival documents.
