Abstract:

International joint ventures are a popular form of international cooperation in the 21st century. Simultaneously with the growing importance of partnerships and the number of joint ventures created, the number of difficulties associated with their management increases.

This article studies the peculiarities of international joint ventures at the present stage of development. In particular, the authors examine the main reasons for the creation of international joint ventures and the trends associated with their functioning. They reveal the key differences from international strategic alliances and the strategy of mergers and acquisitions, as well as the main reasons for the collapse of this form of international cooperation.
