This paper analyzes different classifications of human rights principles. The principles of social and economic rights of an individual and a citizen of the Russian Federation have been studied, namely: universality and inalienability; equality; directness of application; being guaranteed and protected by the State. Also three aspects of rights equality principle have been defined along with some special aspects of the inalienability of certain social and economic rights (the right to maternity, paternity); the author makes a proposal to explain Article 18 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation by the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.Keywords:
