This article examines the impact of a single capacitance-resistive model (CRM), adapted for different geological structures, on the interpreted reservoir porosity and permeability values. The study was conducted using synthetic data accounting for scale effects and reservoir heterogeneity. Matching the CRM model at a stage, where bottomhole pressure was constant, allowed us to identify the time constant. Subsequently, by accounting for variable bottomhole pressure over the validation interval, interpreted porosity and permeability values characterizing the geological structure of the modeled object were determined. It was revealed that for heterogeneous formations, the interpreted porosity–permeability pairs may differ from the values obtained using the relation between these properties established for the given formation, taking into account the scale effect. This indicates that the specific spatial structure of the formation not only influences the interpreted values of reservoir properties but can also shape a different petrophysical relation that accounts for the specific features of the CRM model. Keywords:
