World-class scientist in the field of thermal physics and mechanics of multiphase systems. He organized fundamental and applied research in the field of mechanics of multiphase systems, computer simulation of the processes of extraction, transport and storage of oil and gas, physical and technical problems of promising power plants operating on natural gas, products of gasification of solid fuels and renewable energy sources. He has developed and now its implementing a number of innovative projects in the field of new oil and gas technologies, energy, environmental management, and informatics. He participates in researches in the field of mechanics of multiphase systems of the oil and gas complex, conducted by University of Tyumen, Institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, service and manufacturing companies of oil and gas profile and other enterprises; developed a model of regional technopark. The main areas of scientific activity are: theoretical and experimental methods of mechanics of multiphase media; mathematical modeling of thermogasdynamic processes in flow-through parts of power plants, automated design of turbomachine blades based on models of spatial turbulent flows and the variational method, complex optimization of power plants on various types of fuel.
