Doctor of Technical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Development and Operation of Oil and Gas Fields at Industrial University of Tyumen. The Hirsch index according to RSCI is 21.

Specializes in the construction and operation of directional and horizontal wells. The main works are devoted to solving the problems of increasing the efficiency of using modern technologies to improve the technical and economic performance of the processes of reservoir development by an oil production well. Developed with the participation of S.I. Grachev's complex of technical and technological measures for the construction and operation of complex wells has been implemented at 20 horizontal and more than 100 directional boreholes of a special profile, including 6 wells with a bottom-hole deviations to 2500 m and 3 fishbones in fields in Western Siberia. The research results are published in 11 scientific and technical reports and 22 projects on the Van-Eganskoe, Wat-Eganskoe, Kalchinsky, Koshilsky, Malochernogorsky, Samotlorsky, Yuzhny and Chernogorsky fields.

Under his supervision, 6 PhD theses were prepared. He supervises full-time postgraduate studies and applicants. He repeatedly opposed the dissertations.

He is the author of more than 150 scientific papers, including 10 inventions and 5 monographs. Participant of regional, Russian and International scientific and practical conferences and seminars.
