According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, the tourism industry’s contribution to global GDP in 2024 was $11.1 trillion, or 10% of the global total. In Russia, tourism’s contribution to GDP was estimated at 2.9% in 2024, and is projected to increase to 5% by 2030. Given the significant potential of the tourism industry in our country, with its vast territory, diverse natural environment, rich cultural and historical heritage, and government investment in creating modern tourism infrastructure, substantiating paths for the further development of this economic sector is a pressing scientific and practical task. The aim of this study is to determine the multiplier of investment in fixed capital of tourism in the Republic of Khakassia and the impact of developing gastronomic tourism on the regional economy. An economic and statistical analysis revealed that the dynamics of tourism and catering industry turnover in Russia from 2021 to 2024 exceeded GDP growth. Calculation of the tourism investment multiplier in the region showed that it exceeds the overall GRP multiplier but lags behind similar indicators in developed tourist destinations across the country. The developed additive model for assessing the effectiveness of gastronomic tourism development in the Republic of Khakassia represents a novel scientific approach and can be applied in industry management. Keywords:
