Abstract:

The article examines the current state and prospects of the Russian electric vehicle market. It is established that, despite high growth rates, it is characterized by a low share and lags behind global leaders. The work carried out SWOT-analysis, identified key problems and proposed strategic solutions. The authors describe in detail five main diverse barriers to the development of this market. The article systematizes the understanding of the specifics and barriers in the context of the Russian economy with its unique limitations: from a harsh climate to sanctions pressure. The authors combined technological, economic, infrastructure, social and political aspects into a single analytical framework. Based on the research, a model is proposed that illustrates the mechanisms of interaction of all market participants. This model allows to form priority areas to ensure sustainable growth of the electric vehicle market in Russia. The study is of interest to government agencies, investors, distributors and analysts, especially in the context of the national targets for the electrification of transport by 2030.
