Ideology plays a key role in the political system, determining the value guidelines and directions of development of society and the state. In the Russian Federation, the analysis of the relationship between state and constitutional ideology is becoming relevant. The article is devoted to a comparative study of these two types of ideology, their content, mechanisms of implementation, and historical evolution. Particular attention is paid to their relationship, points of contact and mutual influence. The need for compliance of state ideology with constitutional values is substantiated in order to ensure the legitimacy of power, protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, and sustainable development of the political and legal system. The work considers modern challenges that affect the transformation of ideological guidelines, and proposes approaches to ensuring their consistency in a dynamic socio-political context. Keywords:
