Given the predominant importance of personal non-property relations in the subject matter of family law, it is commonly believed that the majority of family law contracts are of a non-proprietary nature. The authors of the article critically analyze this approach, arguing that the possibility of concluding a family law contract governing personal non-property relations is, in principle, excluded. The methodological basis of the study includes the formal-logical method and the method of legal modeling. Main results: it is proven that any family law contract constitutes a specific type of civil law contract; a system of contracts in family law is presented, taking into account that the formation of any contract within this system is based on the proprietary interest of the parties, expressed in the common purpose of the contract; it is established that the list of family law contracts is exhaustive: any other agreement that may be concluded between subjects of family law, as well as contracts involving them, fall outside the system of family law contracts while retaining the nature of a civil law contract. Keywords:
