Abstract:

The social policy measures taken in foreign countries in the context of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 are the subject of the article. In addition, the experience of the Russian Federation is also touched upon. The article describes one of the important risks in the post-pandemic period — the risk of the social sphere, which includes health risks, unemployment risks, social distancing risks, demographic risks and others. The purpose of the article is a theoretical study of state support of citizens in the conditions of COVID-19 through the consideration of social policy. The article also describes the response measures to combat the above-mentioned risks of the social sphere. Special attention is paid to measures aimed at supporting employment, preserving jobs and labor relations between the employer and employees. Examples of foreign countries are given within the framework of the budget policy in order to implement the task of social protection of their citizens. The conclusion is made about the similarity of the social policy pursued both in the Russian Federation and in foreign countries.
