Abstract:

This article celebrates the anniversary of the Russian sociologist and management system organizer — Gennady F. Shafranov-Kutsev — as well as his contribution to the development of the sociology of education. The authors pay particular attention to the theory and practice of studying problems of career guidance conducted by the team under his command. Analyzing the trends revealed by the colleagues, the authors correlate them with the results of the monitoring of Sverdlovsk students in 1995-2016. They emphasize the fruitfulness of such comparative studies.
