The authors aim to prove that the social trust level is one of the indicators of the regional social space coherence. This article dwells upon the nature and particularities of social trust and identifies the parameters, which influence the level of trust. The paper draws on the research results conducted in the Tyumen region. Trust affects the formation of the regional identity and helps its owners to find their place in the regional society. The most important factors influencing the level of institutional trust are the social well-being of an individual and the evaluation of social protection. The authors conclude that the improvement of institutional trust in society leads to more people participating in the social and political life of the region.
