Abstract:

This paper is devoted to analysis of age peculiarities of reading motivation of students in secondary school. Based on materials of the sociological research with 3056 pupils of the 5-9th grades of Moscow schools the analysis of influences of gender, age and social stratification factors on the motives stating choice of literary works by pupils is carried out. With the help of the factorial analysis the main motivational dominants of literary works choice of pupils of the 5th, 7th, 9th grades are allocated. The results of the research can be used in work on development of literary interests of school students.
