Abstract:

Cooperation of the states in the field of human rights and freedoms protection is an important integration element and the general basis of formation of united legal space. In relation to the international integration the purpose of cooperation in this field is to form an independent (full-fledged) system of norms and institutes of human rights and freedoms protection. It says in the article that the low level of integration of the CIS member states in the field of human rights and freedoms protection is caused by shortcomings of international legal base of this field, the international control over the obligations of the states in the field of human rights and freedoms protection and organizational legal mechanism in this sphere. On the basis of the integration problems analysis of the CIS member states in the field of human rights and freedoms protection, the author sets forth his suggestions for the improvement of integration the CIS member states in this specified field. The author also touches upon the issue of the European integration process, believing that their experience may be useful for the CIS member states.
