Fauna and some ecological aspects of praying mantis (Insecta, Mantodea) of Uzbekistan

Abstract:

This article presents the findings of eight new species of mantis in Uzbekistan: Mantis religiosa (Linné, 1758), Hierodula tenuidentata (Saussure, 1869), Bolivaria brachyptera (Pallas, 1773), Armene pusilla (Eversmann, 1854), Iris polystictica (Fischer-Waldheim, 1846), Empusa pennicornis (Pallas, 1773), Rivetina sp., Severinia turcomaniae (Mistshenko, 1967). This paper describes some of their environmental aspects.
