It is a commonly recognized fact that water is a most important part of humans’ and all natural organisms life. Water is important not only as a physical liquid, but as a factor that prolongs life and its’ quality.
The Zavodoukovsk City District has enough water resources to provide the social and economic needs of the region. Yet, despite the great amounts of water, sometimes its’ quality is substandard. First of all — the surface waters. They are not valid to be used as the drinking water, but they could be used for other causes. Because of it, the main supplies of drinking water are the subsurface waters, amounts of which are greater and their quality is higher. However, even the subsurface waters need to be cleaned, which only happens in 1/3 of all cases.
In these areas with no central water facilities, the locals use wells to extract water, the quality of which satisfies the needs of the population. However, the water-cleaning measures are not performed. Because of it, the city district increases the number of water-cleaning measures, using the budget money.
