During the last years the development of the south of Tyumen region was bound with the agricultural activities and food industry. The mineral resources should have assisted their development. As an exception, their resource potential was used at very small rates and not in all the regions, except for the construction materials.
In the late XX and early XXI century the situation has become worse. Sand and clay are not extracted anymore in the region except for 2-3 districts in the south of the region. The main purpose of this is the lack of money. In the early XXI century the situation started to change. In most regions the investment programs and the territory planning that involve the mineral resources were made. The regions that have discovered these resources in the past are now in the winning position.
One of such regions that is highly developed in agricultural sphere is Uporovsk municipal district in the south of the Tyumen region. The presented results show that there are greater ammounts of mineral resources that could be extracted at the industrial rate and provide the region with some of them. But due to some factors these resources are not extracted.
