Abstract:

The present research is devoted to the investigation of the current state of oil and gas industry in Eastern Siberia and the Far East. To study and analyze the state of the industry in the east of the country, different sides of the oil and gas sector have been considered. First, the article presents the statistics of oil extraction differentiated by fields and regions, taking into account dynamics and plans for mineral deposits development by largest oil producers.
The incentive to intensify the development of resource potential of the region has been the construction of the ESPO oil pipeline, oil port “Kozmino”, and other pipelines. In this regard, special attention is paid to the order and conditions of the commissioning of pipelines, their technical characteristics, impact of the transport infrastructure expansion on mining, and oil transportation to domestic consumers and for export.
In addition, the article considers prospects of oil and gas sector development and factors hindering its development. Special attention is paid to the current state of oil refining industry in the east of the country, the dynamics of commissioning and decommissioning of facilities, and the refinery crude run.
