Area of scientific interests: ecological physiology; role of peripheral endocrine glands in the adaptation of an organism to the conditions of the North. In 2010-2012 was the head of the Sector for Ecological and Bioindication Studies in the implementation of the project on the Resolution of the Russian Federation Government no 220. Member of the Moscow Society of Naturalists and the Russian Geographical Society. Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation (2000). He was awarded with the Honorary Diplomas of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science (2010) and the Tyumen City Duma (2015). He is the author of about 110 scientific publications, including 4 in Scopus and Web of Science, for example in journals "Human Ecology", "Hygiene and Sanitation", and other.
