Norbert Hölzel

Dr. Sci. (Biol.), Professor. Professor in the University of Westphalia (Germany).
He is head the group on the study of structure, functions and changes in terrestrial ecosystems (soil and vegetation) as integral, the main components of landscape ecology. He is the scientific head of the grant of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Germany "Sustainable land use and adaptation strategies to climate change in the agricultural zone of Western Siberia" (2011-2016). Since 2004 He is Member of the Governing Council of the European Branch of the International Society for Ecological Restoration, Chairman of the Society for the period 2006-2014. Since 2010, Vice President of the Botanical Sociological Commission. Author of more than 150 scientific publications, incl. 3 monographs and articles in the journals "Nature", "Proceedings of N.A.S.", "Ecology". H-index 30 (in researchgate.net).
