Dr. Sci (Biol.). Head of the Sector for Biodiversity and Dynamics of Natural Complexes of the Federal Research Center Tyumen Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, Institute of the Problems of Northern Development of the Siberian Branch of the RAS.
Member of the Commission on Rare Species of the Tyumen Region Administration. He is the author of the 3-volume collective monograph "The Natural Environment of Yamal" (1995-2000), the author and editor of the ecological section of the monograph "Tyumen of the beginning of the XXI century" (2002). In 1991, under his leadership, justification of the organization of the first in the Tyumen region natural park "Numto", functioning since 1997, was carried out; in 2008, co-author of the monograph "Natural complex of the 'Numto' park". He is the author of the Red Books of the Tyumen region (2004), Khanty-Mansiysk (2003, 2013) and Yamalo-Nenets (2010) autonomous regions. He was awarded with the Honorary Diplomas of the Tyumen Region Governor and the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, and with the honorary title of Veteran of the Siberian Branch of the RAS. The research results are presented in more than 200 scientific publications (15 of them are in the Web of Science and Scopus databases (h-index in the Russian Science Citation Index 14), as well as research work on the assessment of the environment state and the impact on it of various facilities of the oil and gas development in the Tyumen region.
